Biodiversity Net Gain – what does this do for our environment?

Biodiversity Net Gain is an approach to development that not only replaces but also enhances biodiversity in a better state than before.

Where a development has an impact on biodiversity it encourages developers to provide an increase in appropriate natural habitat and ecological features over and above that being affected in such a way it is hoped that the current loss of biodiversity through development will be stopped and ecological networks can be restored.

This in turn helps protect fauna and flora on your development and the local community.

Helping improve our biodiversity in turn will help provide us with clean air, clean water, food, climate regulation, pollination, protect species and tackle climate change.

How can you help? Contact us today to discuss one of our upcoming developments in your community.

New building regulations, what do they mean for the end user?

Part L Conservation of Fuel and Power – this includes the upgrade of insulation to the building fabric, all of our new homes also include underfloor heating and an air source heat pump to reduce energy bills and protect the environment by reducing the use of fossil fuels.

Part F Ventilation – all new windows to be provided with trickle vents and the introduction of mechanical ventilation where required, this helps maximise air flow through your new home.

Part O Overheating – limitation of solar gain in new homes to remove excess heat, this is provided through optimised glazing designs.

Part S Electric Vehicle Charging – all our new homes are provided with an EV charge point.
